On June 7-8 June RoboCity12 event took place on the Paseo de la Castellana 78, Madrid. You can get more information at the website of RoboCity12. RoboCity12 was a meeting of the highest level in the area of robotics for citizens that aimed to bring together all actors involved in robotics: universities, technological centers, companies,... The opening session was chaired by academic authorities at the highest level with the participation of the Director General of CDTI. In addition, Professor Paolo Dario, RoboCom FET Flagship projects coordinator, gave an inaugural lecture on the future of robotics. |
During the event, several workshops on different topics took place. Finally, the latest developments not only robotic research centers of Madrid but also in several national and multinational companies were shown (these companies sponsored RoboCity12).
This event was organized by RoboCity2030 and also Hisparob, CEA, RoboCom (Robot Companions for Citizens, Coordinated action) and SEIDROB as co-organizers. RoboCity2030 consortium (funded by Community of Madrid and EU) includes research groups from UC3M (Robotics Lab), UPM, CSIC, UAH, URJC and UNED.
