Humanoids robots conferences

The next week, the Dr. Kazuhito Yokoi, Senior researcher from the AIST will present two conferences about humanoid robots:

Conference 1 ("Free access") - April 17th, 16:00 - 19:00, Present and Future of
Humanoid Robots in Japan (Graduate Room - Padre Soler building)



With a physical form similar to that of a human, humanoid robots can be used as proxies or assistants to perform tasks in a real-world
environment on behalf of humans. Various humanoid robots have been
developed worldwide, and currently, humanoid robots are able to work in our daily life environment. This talk introduces some of the ongoing research and development of humanoid, and discusses the problems, approaches and applications for the next generation humanoid.

Conference 2 - April 18th, 17:00 - 20:00, Technical issues on humanoid robots (Master Room)


Various humanoid robots have been developed worldwide, and currently,
humanoid robots are able to work in our daily life environment.
The goal of this talk is to give the theoretical background for the
software development to control the well-designed humanoid hardware.
The ZMP, walking pattern generation, whole body motion generation are
some key words of the talk.
