Multi-User multi-Robot social interaction for group Stimulation (MURSIA)

MURSIA

Robots interacting with multiple users

Description

The integration of social robots (SRs) into elderly care offers personalized physical, cognitive, and emotional therapies that boost motivation, improve cognition and mobility, and reduce isolation and anxiety. While existing multi-robot research mainly focuses on industrial, logistical, and social navigation settings, the MURSIA project shifts the focus to everyday multi-party and group social interactions.

By enabling SRs to collaborate with humans and other robots across various roles—such as companionship, stimulation, and entertainment—MURSIA aims to advance robotic perception, expressiveness, and decision-making to enhance holistic care and healthy aging.
