For the second consecutive year, researchers from the Robotics Lab have tutored and led projects winning the 1st place in the prizes awarded by the Social Council to the best TFG-Emprende 2021.
In the 2020 and 2021 editions Pavel Gonzalez has tutored the Final Degree Projects that won the Social Council awards for the best work with entrepreneurial initiative.
IN 2021, students Laura Garrido and Esther Montero, from the Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering degrees, formed a team in the line of research that aims to build a mobile robot capable of transporting medical material through hospital and healthcare spaces, while measuring environmental variables in its trajectory, thus generating a map of variables related to the robot’s position in the environment, and with the ability to correlate these variables with the intention of generating early warnings of possible areas at risk of proliferation of viruses, bacteria or fungi based on parameters such as humidity, temperature, luminosity, noise and/or gases.
After previously obtaining the entrepreneurial seal for their respective works, it should be noted that the students awarded with the social council prize have been rewarded with a prize money that aims to stimulate entrepreneurship based on the achievements obtained in the projects, a positive point to generate new companies that stimulate the lines of research and development of technology.
