On 21 April, we held a meeting with Iris Van Rooij and Mark Blokpoel (DONDERS Institute) to discuss the direction of the work corresponding to OBJ1 and, in particular, task T1.1 ‘Cognitive principles of human-human communication’.
The main idea was to propose scenarios of controlled difficulty in which the robot faces decisions that cannot be based on machine learning from data; that is, decisions in which there is ambiguity or in which it has to rely on the attributes of objects (for example, if the sugar has run out, I use honey, since the purpose of both ‘ingredients’ is to sweeten).
