The kick-off meeting of the COMPANION-CM project was held at UC3M on 14 October. The three-year project is funded by the Community of Madrid, and is coordinated by the Robotics Lab. The other partner participating in the project is the Grupo de Procesamiento Multimedia (GPM), also from UC3M. Other entities (hospitals, companies, universities, etc.) are also collaborating in the project.
COMPANION-CM proposes the use of more social intelligent robots in the field of care robotics, improving their ability to interact with patients. The project will develop a personalised training that will be integrated on the humanoid robot TEO.
