On 31 December 2024, the COMPANION-CM project came to an end. This synergistic project was funded by the Community of Madrid, with reference Y2020/NMT-6660, within the framework of the 2020 call for grants for synergistic R&D projects in new and emerging scientific areas at the frontier of science and of an interdisciplinary nature.
The project proposed the use of more social intelligent robots in the field of assistive robotics, improving their interaction capabilities with patients. The project developed a customised training bank integrated into the TEO humanoid robot.
