Rubén de la Torre Cañizares obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2013. While working full-time, he earned his Master’s degree in Robotics and Automation from the same university in 2017.
 
In 2018, motivated by the social purpose of a research project, he commenced his PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Automation, focusing on robot-aided rehabilitation systems for patients with spasticity.
 
He published his first Q1 article in September 2020: https://www.mdpi.com/1424-8220/20/18/5251, and his second Q1 article in April 2024: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-024-51993-w.
 
He continues to combine a full-time professional position with part-time research collaboration in the Roboespas project, bringing his extensive experience in the private sector to the university setting.
