This paper presents the design for the social behaviors of robots operating in the pediatric ward of an oncological hospital. In this scenario the robots interact with a varied number of people:
children, staff, etc. We present an HRI architecture that is capable of managing the different situations the robots face while interacting
with people. We model these interactions as multimodal dialogues, in which the robot perceives the current situation and expresses in
a cohesive and coherent manner.
