Se desarrollaron varios proyectos industriales relacionados con la automatizaci\u00f3n de la prefabricaci\u00f3n de partes de GRC: GRC-Auto1 (1992-1995) y GRC-Auto2 (2000-2002), para una de las principales empresas de construcci\u00f3n de la UE, Dragados (E). El proyecto GRC-Auto1 trata sobre la pulverizaci\u00f3n rob\u00f3tica de los paneles (6 x 3 m), y el proyecto GRC-Auto2 trata sobre la optimizaci\u00f3n y racionalizaci\u00f3n de toda la f\u00e1brica, incluido el transporte y almacenamiento de los paneles.<\/p>\n<p>El primer proyecto de la UE en el que participaron miembros del RoboticsLab fue el proyecto Esprit III ROCCO (1992-1996) para el ensamblaje de bloques y ladrillos grandes con robots. En el campo del dise\u00f1o autom\u00e1tico de edificios en 3D y el ensamblaje rob\u00f3tico de edificios modulares en el lugar de la construcci\u00f3n, se desarroll\u00f3 el proyecto FutureHome del 5\u00ba Programa Marco de la UE dentro del programa Brite-Euram (1999-2002). Recientemente, la continuaci\u00f3n de estos proyectos ha sido aprobada en el marco del Proyecto Integrado (PI) de la UE del 6\u00ba Programa Marco (PM) bajo la prioridad de NMP llamado ManuBuild (2004-2007).<\/p>\n<p>El Prof. Balaguer tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 activamente involucrado en las actividades de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Automatizaci\u00f3n y Rob\u00f3tica en la Construcci\u00f3n (IAARC), siendo Presidente electo durante el per\u00edodo 2001-2004.
