La caracter\u00edstica que hace que el robot sea \u00fanico es el hecho de que todo el sistema de control est\u00e1 a bordo. S\u00f3lo necesita una fuente de alimentaci\u00f3n externa de 24 V para empezar a funcionar. Por eso el robot es totalmente port\u00e1til, con un peso y un tama\u00f1o (despu\u00e9s de la b\u00fasqueda de referencia) que permiten transportarlo, por ejemplo, como bolsa de mano en un avi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El robot tiene una estructura sim\u00e9trica y est\u00e1 equipado con conectores c\u00f3nicos especiales en cada punta. Esta configuraci\u00f3n le permite trepar entre estaciones de acoplamiento est\u00e1ticas y muy sencillas situadas en el entorno. La capacidad trepadora del ASIBOT lo transforma en un robot m\u00f3vil capaz de moverse en entornos estructurales dom\u00e9sticos y de oficina.<\/p>\n<p>Las aplicaciones de los robots se orientan principalmente a tareas dom\u00e9sticas de asistencia a personas mayores y discapacitadas. El robot tiene una pinza de tres dedos (con 8 pesta\u00f1as) dentro de cada conector c\u00f3nico de la punta para manipular diferentes objetos o herramientas.
