Dr. Cabbar Veysel BAYSAL was born at 1969, in Ceyhan ADANA TURKEY . Dr Baysal has got BScEE degree in 1990 from Electrical & Electronics Eng. Department and MScEE degree in 1993 from Graduate School of Middle East Technical University Ankara Turkey. His MSc thesis is about Sensorimotor Control of Robot Hand Grasp.He had PhD in Electrical and Electronics Eng. from graduate school of Cukurova University in 2006. His PhD thesis is about Design and Implementation of A Hybrid Intelligent Control System for Optimal Preshaping of a Robot Hand . Since 2007, He has worked as Assistant Prof.Dr. in Electrical & Electronics Eng. Departments of Erciyes University and Mersin University, in Turkey. In addition to his academic works , He has 16 Years of Engineering & Management experience at industry in both national and multi-national companies. He had designed and implemented 3 complete plant scale automation projects including DCS , SCADA and PLCs, two in Turkey and one in Ukraine . He had also designed and implemented projects in Electrical Power Systems. While he has worked in academia, he has also served as consultant for industrial projects.
He involved in Robotics Lab of UC3M in Sept 2009, as Visiting Professor.
His current interest are about Cognitive Robotics and Bio-Inspired Robotics as well as Computationally Intelligent Structures. He has been working in Robot Hand Grasp Synthesis and High Level Control of Dexterous Manipulation.
He has been member of IEEE and IEEE-RAS since 1993 and member of Turkish Chamber of Electrical Engineers since 1990.
