The RoboticsLab at the Carlos III of Madrid seeks qualified candidate for a Ph.D. scholarship, associated to the ASIROV project funded by Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. The scholarship is for a duration of 4 years; the first 2 as a scholarship and the last 2 as a research contract.
The theme of the thesis will be centered on robot manipulator control using vision and force feedback and the developed algorithms will be implemented in an experimental robotic testbed. Degree in: Electronic, Mechanical or Communications Engineering, Computer Science, (title obtained after January 1st 2003) with proficiency in written/spoken English.
The scholarship includes:
- 1120 Euros/month
- Waiver of registration costs in the doctoral program
- Funding of research visits to other robotics laboratories (international)
Availability: Starting in September 2007.
