I am a PhD candidate at the Robotics Lab in the Department of System Engineering and Automation of the University Carlos III of Madrid, Madrid, Spain. I was born and bought up in Bangalore, India. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Application from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India, in the year 2005. In April of 2005 I completed a post-graduation certification in Embedded Systems Development from Indian Service Machine [ISM] Bangalore, in Bangalore, India. I worked as a software engineer for Accenture India in Bangalore, India, between September 2005 and August 2008. In September of 2008 I started my postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland, and graduated with a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence degree in November of 2009. I specialized in Intelligent Robotics. Between May and September of 2009, I work for my master thesis at the Collective and Micro Robotics [CoMiRo] group, Institute for Process control and Robotics [IPR], Karlsruhe Institute of Technology [KIT], Karlsruhe, Germany. Here, I worked under an European Self-reconfigurable Modular Robotics project called SYMBRION. I graduated with my second master's degree in Robotics and Automation, from University Carlos III of Madrid in 2012. My research interests include Collective Intelligence, Evolutionary Robotics, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Artificial Neural Networks, Embodied Artificial Intelligence and Morphological Computation.
