My name is Miguel González-Fierro, I finished Industrial Engineering in 2008 and my PhD thesis in humanoid robotics in 2014. I received the Outstanding Thesis Award for my research.

I'm interested in kinematic and dynamic control, postural planning, human-robot interaction, learning from demonstration and machine learning. I mostly work with the humanoid HOAP-3. This is my youtube channel where you can find videos of some of the experiments in my research.

I'm also involve in the Robotics Society of Universidad Carlos III where we develop different projects related to UAVs, mobile robots, small humanoids competitions and modular robots. The Robotics Society is open to anyone who wants to learn robotics. If you are interested, visit us in our wiki (http://asrob.uc3m.es/)

I'm co-founder of a computer vision and machine learning start-up called Samsamia. We created a visual search engine of fashion items that allows the customer to find the garment he/she actually desires just taking a picture with a smartphone. Our recognition system lets you know where you can buy the garment and find similar clothes. For more information, visit our web www.samsamia.com

I also have a blog where I talk about science, robotics, AI, machine learning and startups. If you are interested please visit miguelgfierro.com
