Hi!

My name is Diego. I am an Electronic and Computer Science engineer. I research as an associated researcher in the robotics lab in close collaboration with the Polymers Group at the Department of Material Science and Engineering.

I work on Artificial Muscles characterization, design, and application as actuators for the aerospace industry. I also do some research on the design of space mechanisms based on new actuators and materials.

I work for EADS Astrium CRISA (www.crisa.es) as system engineer. In CRISA I currently work with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and INTA on instrument REMS. REMS is a scientific instrument to explore Mars. It will be carried on Mars Science Laboratory Rover, NASA next generation of Mars exploration rovers. Launch is schedule for 2009.

In the past I worked for Lucent Technologies. Bell Labs, in the Microelectronics field, and also as a research assistant at the Robotics Lab.

In my opinion good science requires collaboration, therefore I am always open to new ideas.

I like sports: basketball, swimming, climbing, beer drinking...

Hope you enjoyed visiting my very small webpage.

Bye!
