Two students from RoboticsLab win Treelogic Awards
On May 18th of 2012, Álvaro Villoslada Peciña y Alejandro Escalante Herrán, were awarded with the first prize of VI Treelogic Awards to Innovative Spirit. These two students from RoboticsLab presented the project "Design of a low cost upper limb robotic prothesis", developed under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Abderrahim.
Excellent participation of our colleagues Carla González, Arnaud Ramey, Eduardo Silles and Javier González-Quijano in the fourteenth race Intercampus on last Sunday March 25 between Leganés and Getafe campus, with a total of 10 KM.
We emphasize the participation of our colleague Javier González-Quijano with a time of 41:20 minutes.

Fernando Martín Monar presented his PhD Thesis
Our college Fernando Martín Monar presented in February, 7, 2012 his PhD Thesis. Its title is Evolutionary-based Global Localization and Mapping of three-dimensional environments. The directors of the thesis were Luis Moreno and Santiago Garrido. The examing board was formed by Carlos Balaguer, Dolores Blanco, Pedro Lima, Antonio Giménez and José Ángel Castellanos. He got the maximum mark of Sobresaliente Cum Laude.

Our college Salah H. Kadhim presented PhD Thesis yesterday. Its title is Methodology for the Development of an Autonomous Mobile Manipulator with Anthropometric Characteristics. Our college Ramiro Cabas presented PhD Thesis yesterday. Its title is Robotics Hands Design Methodology Based On The Actuator’s States. The director of the thesis was Carlos Balaguer. The jury board was formed by Miguel Angel Salichs (UC3M), Luis Moreno (UC3M), Raul Suarez (UPC), Antonio Barrientos (UPM), Antonio Gimenez (UAL). He got the maximum mark of Sobresaliente "Cum Laudem".
